Wilma Stock, 95, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away Friday, September 30, 2022. Wilma was born June 10, 1927 to William and Inez (Brock) in Washington, Indiana.
Grandma/Mom/Wilma loved Peeps, Chinese food and anything with shrimp. She loved her farm animals and pets. She loved to quilt with her sister Thelma and she loved to go fishing with Sandy and Kim at Lock & Dam 14. She loved spending time with friends. Wilma and husband Art threw many dinner parties at their home over the years. But the thing she loved most and did best was love and teach others to love. She was selfless and gave anything and everything she could, opening her home and heart to friends and family in goods times and bad. She never said an unkind word about anyone, and she was the strongest person we knew. She was “Mom” and “Grandma” to so many people over the years and we will all miss her dearly.
Thank you to the staff on the 300 hall at Tiffany Springs Senior Living Center and the staff of Amedisys Hospice Care for loving her and taking care of her.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Stock (November 26, 2006); a daughter Sandra Swanson, both parents, two brothers: Dale Dennis and Kenny Dennis. She is survived by her loving daughter, Billie Benton (Michael); two granddaughters: Kim Shaw-Ellis (Regina Shaw-Ellis); and Sommer Swanson; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Thelma Hemmen (Jerry).
A Committal Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Leavenworth National Cemetery 150 Muncie Road, Leavenworth, KS. Memories of Wilma and condolences to the family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com.

I am so sorry for the loss of such a beautiful soul from this world. Though I never knew her, my knowledge of, and fondness for her grew with every post from her adoring granddaughter Kim. It is clear that her impact on those around her was grand and everlasting.
