Wilma Jean Rowe, 99, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Ignite Medical Resort St. Mary’s in Blue Springs, MO. She was born August 19, 1923 to Alonzo and Lucy (White) Rowe in Grain Valley, MO.
Wilma is a graduate of Grain Valley High School. She briefly worked at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Independence, MO. Wilma enjoyed taking care of family members whenever she was needed.
Survived by several nieces and nephews. Wilma is preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Lucy Rowe; siblings, Bill Rowe, Alonzo Rowe, Lucile Vrooman, Marvel Smith, Artie Belle Frantz, Edna Elliott.
Her family will receive family and friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St, Blue Springs, MO. I am so sorry to hear of Jeans passing….I have been trying to find her for the last few years but I did not know how to find anyone….she was like a grandma to me growing up….she will be forever missed …prayers and thoughts to the family
i knew Wilma when she was in the nursing home. she was my favourite part of the day. she liked cats and milk and sweaters. rest in peace willmie
