William Andrew Kammerich, 93, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 13, 1925 in Syracuse, MO to Lawrence and Dorothea (Myers) Kammerich.
William attended school in Bunceton, MO, and served his country in the US Navy. On February 16, 1946 he was united in marriage to Loretta B. (Shrout) Kammerich in Olathe, KS and she survives at the home. William was a truck driver for Trailmobile for 32 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Blue Springs. He was also a member of American Legion Post 499, Elks Lodge 2509, and the Go Cart Club. He served as a Little League Baseball Coach, and helped start the Volunteer Reserve Officers.
In addition to his wife, Loretta, he is survived by his daughters, Cindy (James) Hankins, and Linda (John) Michael; sisters, Shirley Nield, and Hellen Jamett of Kansas; grandchildren, Nathan (Michele) Michael, Rob (Kim)Michael, Brandi (Pat) Fetters, Jimmy (Ashley) Hankins; great grandchildren, Zach, Samantha, Tyler, Cory, Dalton, Emmory, Nick, Kailee, Kagen, Gunner; and one great great grandchild, Lexi. He was preceded in death by his parents Dorothea and Lawrence; brother, Paul; and son Bob.
The family will receive friends 5:00–7:00 pm, Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St., Blue Springs, MO. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, November 2, 2018 at First Christian Church of Blue Springs, 701 NW 15 St, Blue Springs, MO.
