Wanda was a grandmother to all. She was an extremely hard worker and devoted her time to taking care of her family. She spent the majority of her working career with the Ben Franklin company. She also owned and operated Wanda’s Family Style Restaurant in Kansas City, MO and she managed a Phillips 66 in Liberty, MO. In her spare time she enjoyed garage-saleing, fishing, and her trips to the casino.
In addition to her parents and daughter, she is preceded in death by three siblings: Betty Bartkoski, Norma Jean Horning and Robert Hutchison. Survivors include her partner of 26 years, Allen Hespen; three grandchildren: Katie Klockau and fiancé Ryan Mazur of Denver, CO, Kit Klockau and wife, Gabrielle of Shawnee, KS and Jack Stoddart of Fairfax, VA; and three siblings: Marvalene Troyer, Emily Reynolds and Donald Hutchison.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Wanda’s life on Monday, September 26, 2022, at the Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Urn placement will take place at a later date in her hometown of Walker, MO.
