Wanda E. Clifton, 68, peacefully passed away April 6, 2019 at the Twin Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lansing, KS. She was born December 21, 1950 in Grants Pass, OR. to Troy D. and Wanda June (Hicks) Miller.
Wanda spent the majority of her working career as a teaching counselor for special needs adults. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Roger Clifton. Survived by two daughters: Shirley Young and Misty Wanke; and seven beloved grandchildren.
Wanda’s ashes will be united with Rogers’ at Leavenworth National Cemetery and some will be spread on one of her cherished beaches in Oregon. The family is planning a private gathering to honor her life. The Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville has been entrusted with the final arrangements. Shirley. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Although I did not have the opportunity to ever meet her I saw the dedication you had in caring for her and the love that shows. You, Collin and Mason will be in my thoughts.
