Funeral arrangements for Virginia Robbins are set for Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Crosscreek Baptist Mission, 1050 SW 15th St, Oak Grove, MO. Her family will receive family and friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Blue Springs Cemetery. Virginia Lee Robbins, 95, a resident of Oak Grove, MO passed away peacefully Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Ignite Medical Resort St. Mary’s in Blue Springs, MO. She was born October 9, 1927 to Alva and Mary “Mae” (Lemkuhler) Dale in Welborn, KS.
Virginia was a 1945 graduate of Washington Rural High School. On July 31, 1953 Virginia was united in marriage to Leon V. Robbins in Independence, MO. Virginia was a home maker and enjoyed raising her 3 children. She also liked to read and sew. Virginia was a member of Crosscreek Baptist Mission in Oak Grove, MO. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
Survived by her children, Terri Davis and husband Randy of Blue Springs, MO, Kimberly Castlebury and husband Floyd of Oak Grove, MO, Kelly Robbins and wife Sherry of Independence, MO; grandchildren, Karri, Heather, Jeremy, Tyler, Nina, Travis; 18 great-grandchildren. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Robbins; parents, Alva and Mae Dale; sister, Merle Conway.
