Violet Wednesday Slimp died wrapped up in her mother’s arms in the early morning hours of December 19, 2022. She was a talented and smart girl with nothing but potential and a bright future. A force to be reckoned with, taken far too soon after a seven month struggle with DIPG, an aggressive, inoperable form of brain cancer. She had a jolly, feisty and sassy way about her that she maintained until the end. Violet loved art, music, ballet, animals, cooking, Uno, word searches and spending time with her family, especially her big brother, Oliver. Violet wore her heart on her sleeve and was sweet and sentimental. She will be deeply and forever missed by all whose lives she touched and we are eternally grateful to have been loved by her.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to DIPG.org. Memories of Violet and condolences to the family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com.
