Theresa Steward, 58, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. She was born June 3, 1963 in Green Bay, WI to Philip and Diana (Wilbur) Wasielewski. They preceded her in death.
Theresa graduated high school in Pulaski, WI, where she was a talented artist. Art was her passion. She had a 14 year partnership with Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, MO, where she did freelance painting from her home.
Theresa had a deep love for both her Lord and her family. She was a long- time dedicated member of Hope Fellowship Church in Kansas City. Family was so important to Theresa. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards, board games and cheering for the Green Bay Packers. A love for people, she never met a stranger and welcomed everyone into her home with open arms.
She married Brad LeRoy Steward on September 3, 1985 in Springfield, MO. In addition to Brad, survivors include their two daughters: Kaleigh Ellen Steward and fiancé, Desmond of Kansas City, MO and Kristen Sophie Bink and husband Joseph (JD) of Kansas City, MO; beloved grandchildren: Eliana Ellen Fernand, Jayden Stanley Pearson, Sienna Mae Bink and Joseph “Lane” Bink; siblings: Annette Van Lannen (Jack), Nancy Mathew (Randy), Laurie Wasielewski, Wendy Swiecichowski and Lynda Pigeon (Mike); and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Visitation 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Hope Fellowship Church, 8350 N. Conant Ave. Kansas City, MO. A second visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church, where a funeral service celebrating Theresa’s life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services and burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, KS. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Kidney Foundation. Arrangements by the Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville, MO.
