Steven Lynn Reents, 66, of Gladstone, MO passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022, with his loving wife by his side. Steve was born September 17, 1955, to Carl and Ann (Pennington) Reents in St. Joseph, MO.
He enjoyed participating in church activities and fund raisers. Steve carried his strong faith and love for his Lord and Savior thru his times of need.
He loved old cars: especially Jeeps and VW’s. Steve will be remembered for always making people smile; his kind, caring and fun personality. His nieces and nephews always enjoyed spending time with their wild and crazy uncle, making fun memories.
Steve is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda Schaefer Reents; five siblings: Jim Reents (Sue); Nancy Reents Doughtery; Jan Reents (Steve); Jeff Reents (Tracie) Eric Reents (Lynae); numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Bill Reents.
A Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Northland Cathedral 101 NW 99th Street, Kansas City, MO. The Memorial service celebrating Steve’s life will commence at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Nathan Scott officiating. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions are suggested to Royal Rangers and may be left in the care of the church. As resident council president of our facility, we the residents wish to send out sympathy and prayers to all of stevens’, family, friends and acquaintances for your loss.
I can say he was a real hero, having to overcome all the obstacles of his health & rehab. He inspired me as I have to regain my life after a stroke.
