Steven J. Litchfield, 61, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away at his home on Saturday, March 6, 2021 with his loving family by his side. He was born February 6, 1960 in Prince George’s County, MD, the son of Rea Forrest and Mary Louise (Timko) Litchfield.
He was a 1978 graduate of William Chrisman High School, and served proudly in the United States Army from 1979 to 1981. Steve was a Superintendent for Hayes Drilling Incorporated, Olathe, KS, and loved his job and all the friends and people he worked with. Steve enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was riding his Harley-Davidson, traveling, working in his immaculate yard, or grilling out and barbequing. He was a big Kansas City Chiefs fan, he also liked to spend time in the gym working out and exercising, and especially enjoyed his time with his family and his grandkids.
On August 29, 2009 he married Terri Corry in Independence, MO. Survivors include his wife, Terri Litchfield, Blue Springs, MO, his children, Amber Litchfield, Flemington, MO, Linzi Smith (Troy), Long Lane, MO, Ozzy Litchfield, Kansas City, MO, Justin Probst, Wichita, KS, and Heather Probst, Wichita, KS, his two sisters, Cheryl Luther (Jim Mahan), Greenwood, MO, Sandra Smith (Brett), Sugar Creek, MO, his 11 grandchildren, Corbin, Peyton, Kayli, Carly, Charlie, Otto, Penelope, Natalie, Damian, Aviana, and Jerry, as well as his nephews, Cameron, Zachary, Joshua, and nieces, Dallas, Secilie, and Meredith. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held. Meyers Funeral Chapel, Blue Springs, MO, has been entrusted with his arrangements.
