Stephen Byrl Combellick, 84, of Parkville, Mo. passed away on January 19, 2023, two days before his 85th birthday. He was born January 21, 1938 in Iowa Falls, Iowa to Lester and Bessie (Johnson) Combellick. While growing up, Steve and his family spent winters in Iowa Falls, during the school year and summers in Moccasin, Montana working on the family ranch.
Steve graduated from high school in Iowa Falls and later earned a degree in Business from the University of Iowa. He married Marian J. Willard on June 10th, 1961 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Steve and Marian ran the family ranch in Moccasin until 1970 when Steve began managing feed mills in several cities around the West and Midwest. Steve retired in 2000 as a manager of the Feed Mill Division at Farmland Industries headquarters in Kansas City, Mo., following a nearly 20 year career with that organization. After retirement from Farmland he worked as a seasonal tax preparer at H&R Block.
Steve enjoyed life and had a love for people. He was very active, enjoyed the outdoors, and cherished time spent with family. He and Marian regularly attended Church of the Resurrection/Downtown in Kansas City. Steve and Marian continued to travel annually between the many places they called home including: Kansas City, Mo.; Moccasin, Mont.; Lewiston, Idaho, and Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands of Washington state. Steve is remembered for his quick sense of humor, engaging smile, and the kindness that he showed to friends and strangers alike. Steve was a beloved uncle to his many nieces and nephews and their children.
Steve is survived by his wife, Marian Combellick. He was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Bessie Combellick; a sister, Bethel Ellis; and brother, John David Combellick.

Steve was a part of my high school group. His death brings back wonderful memories of friendship and fun.
Although I had not seen him for many years, I will always remember those days and the marvelous friendships we shared.
