Funeral services for Sondra Tierney have been set for Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs.  Her family will receive family and friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Buckner, MO. Sondra Louise Tierney, 62, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.  She was born October 10, 1961 to Howard Sr. and Edith (DiiBon) Lusher in Kansas City, MO.

Sondra was employed as a custodian for the Blue Springs School District at James Walker Elementary School in Blue Springs.  She was united in marriage to Cletus Tierney on December 26, 2020 in Blue Springs, MO.  Sondra attended St. John LaLande Catholic Church in Blue Springs.  She enjoyed attending car races with her husband Cletus.  Sondra also enjoyed being in the outdoors with her dogs.  Above all Sondra cherished spending time with her grandchildren.

Survived by her husband, Cletus Tierney of Blue Springs, MO; children, Joel Burton and wife Brandy of Branson, MO, Andrew Burton of Blue Springs, MO, Josh Burton of Branson, MO, Jerimiah Burton of Blue Springs, MO, Jonathan Tierney of Warrensburg, MO; siblings, Roxy Foster and husband LeRoy of Warsaw, MO, Rocky Lusher and wife, Martha of Fayetteville, AR, Larry Lusher of St. Mark, Virgin Islands; 8 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Sondra is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Howard Lusher, Edward Lusher.
