Shirley Ann O’Bryan, 77, a longtime resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 23, 2017. She was born on October 28, 1939 in Noel, MO to William and LaVern (Gossman) White.
Shirley was united in marriage to Harry O’Bryan on April 2, 1966 in Noel, MO. She worked as a pharmaceutical tech at Aventis Pharmaceuticals. Shirley was a member of the American Legion Post 499 and enjoyed fishing, dancing and playing cards.
Survivors include children, Teresa Dixon of Blue Springs, MO, Paul O’Bryan of Booneville, MO, Geneva Barnes of Portland, OR, Samuel O’Bryan of Blue Springs, MO; brother, Harry White (Lela) of Raytown, MO; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry O’Bryan; daughter, Lena O’Bryan; parents, William and LaVern White; sister, Elizabeth Summerlin.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St, Blue Springs, MO. Memories of Shirley and condolences to the family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com.

I have fond memories of Shirley and Lela teaching me to eat olives as a boy, by sticking one on the end of each finger.
