Shirley Ann Conroy, 82, a resident of Parkville, MO passed away peacefully Thursday, September 14, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospice in Kansas City, MO. Shirley was born August 5, 1935 to Thomas and Dorothy (O’Leary) McGregor in Columbus, Ohio.
She was an avid Boston sports fan and did enjoy watching her favorite teams play. Her favorite teams included: the Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots, Bruins and of course The Ohio State Buckeyes. She made the best buckeyes candy every Christmas. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grand daughters. She always loved seeing pictures and videos of them. She was loved by her family and friends, and will be missed.
She was preceded in death by two husbands: Louis Hatem and Donald Conroy; both parents, and three siblings: Helen Hankus, Grayce Gill, and Arthur McGregor. Survived by her three sons: Bob Hatem and his wife, Chris; Paul Hatem; Dan Hatem and his wife, Dee; three grandchildren: Robert, Melissa and Alex; two great-granddaughters: Jersey and Milan; four siblings: Thomas McGregor, William McGregor, Dorothy Daur, and Agnes Ardagna.
Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville, MO has been entrusted with final arrangements. Cremation. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Columbus, Ohio. Memories of Shirley and condolences to the family may be shared at meyersnorthlandchapel.com.
