“One life lived…Many lives touched”
Sharon Kay Fielden-Snyder, 80, of Parkville, MO passed away peacefully on August 18, 2023. She was born May 18, 1943 to Kenneth and Doris (Leach) McCarty.
Sharon graduated from Washington High School, attended Donnelly College and went on to have a long and rewarding career at TWA, where she held various administrative positions throughout the years.
Sharon, aka Janice to some, was full of life and always enjoyed a party. Friends and family were most important to her, and she especially cherished time spent with her grandson, her nieces and nephews and her beloved Yorky. Sharon always looked forward to the NFL season and watching football.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Kayce Lea Fielden of Kansas City, North; a sister, Marilyn McCarty of Kansas City, Kansas; and her beloved grandson, Caleb. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jay Snyder; a brother, Gary McCarty; and a sister, Patricia McCarty.
Sharon’s final party will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 8, 2023, at the Walnut Creek Clubhouse.
Sharon so sad to hear this news, we just chatted not so long ago, but I do know that you are in a better place than us. Please watch over us, you & Jay, we miss you both. Now you two can have everlasting life together. You were always a friend to me, thank you for that. Your zest for life was amazing. I will never forget you or my cousin Jay, you were both the life of any party. May you rest in peace & know you were loved by many.
Such a delightful and beautiful person. Always brought light and fun wherever you were
Sharon was the life of the party, always upbeat and full of joy. You will be missed
This is sad moment and a shocker for me. Sharon was an amazing mom and was a huge part my life growing up, including when I lost my mother. She will truly be missed. 😢
My dear friend, Sharon, you were like a sister to me the past 2 years, & I will miss our long distance calls cheering on the Chiefs & watching their games together. Sharon always had a big smile for everyone & tried to be helpful to her neighbor ladies in Parkville, giving them rides to the store, & lending an encouraging word, when needed. Sharon re-dedicated her life to the Lord last year, & I am comforted by knowing that she is in His presence now. My prayers are with Kayce, Marilyn & all the family for peace & comfort. Her laughter & friendship will be sorely missed – until we meet again.
So very sad to learn of Sharon’s passing. She was a very kind person. We had family connections and after I retired, I saw her on different occasions. Prayers and hugs to family.
My memories of Sharon are full of smiles and laughter. You always made the room brighter. I’m forever thankful for all the kindness you showed me as a troubled teenager. May you rest in eternal peace.
I just wanted to say I’m sorry for your loss she was a great woman, she always made everybody laugh and she was the life of the party she will be missed by many people may her soul rest in peace
