
Sandra Lee Mihelic, 86, of Parkville, MO passed away peacefully September 2, 2026 in North Kansas City, MO. She was born March 2, 1940 in Kansas City, KS to Boyd E. and Catherine Margaret (Gaspers) Campbell. They preceded her in death.
Sandy graduated from the former Loretta Academy, Class of 1957. She went on to have a long and rewarding career in the airline industry. First as a flight attendant for Ozark Airlines and later as a supervisor for TWA.
Both her Lord and her family played the most important roles in her life. She married Michael Mihelic on October 16, 1965. The couple moved to Parkville in 1973 and became faithful members of St. Therese Parish. They enjoyed traveling the world, spending time with their daughter, grandsons and great-grandchildren . Mr. Mihelic passed away on January 12, 2021.
In addition to Michael and her parents, Sandy was also preceded in death by her infant sister, Sharon Campbell; sisters, Barbara Hotujac and Joann Woerndle; and her brother. Franklin Tomc. She is survived by her daughter, Maureen Marie Mihelic; and her beloved grandsons, Stephen Michael Newberry and James Michael Newberry (Missi), along with her three great-grandchildren Jessie, Mackenzie and Jacob.
All services will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the Mass Of Christian Burial commencing at 11:00 a.m. Urn placement will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.
