Ryker William Lewis, 15, a Blue Springs, MO resident passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 21, 2014. He was born to Elbert and Rebecca (Lewis) Lewis on November 21, 1998 in North Kansas City, MO.
Ryker attended the freshman center in Blue Springs, MO. He was a tae kwon do recommended black belt. Ryker enjoyed playing on-line gaming mainly Dungeons and Dragons and League of Legends with his friends. He and friends also played Dungeons and Dragons as a board game. He enjoyed spending time with his family watching t.v. shows like Dr. Who, Torchwood, and various Anime. He like to cook for his family making pepperoni pizza, hot sandwiches, and making muffins from scratch. He liked going to the Renaissance festival dressed up as a Nobel Man. He loved seeing his relatives. He enjoyed various Herbal Teas and incense. He had a big heart and enjoyed helping people. He had a special bond with his dog “Keeper” a boxer Sheppard mix that he rescued. Ryker was very interested in ancient cultures and mythological lore. His dream was to design and operate hotels worldwide that were vacation themed. He wanted to travel the world to visit different cultures. See the Cherry blossom festival in Japan, the towers of London, Rome, and other places. He was a remarkable son, brother, cousin, nephew, grandson, and friend.
Survivors include his parents, Elbert and Rebecca Lewis of Blue Springs, MO; sister, Debra Jean Lewis of Blue Springs, MO. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, John R. Lewis; grandmother, Dorothy M. Lewis; step-grandfather, Kermit Jones.
Graveside services for Ryker will be held 5:00 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the Blue Springs Cemetery, Blue Springs, MO. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Blue Springs Education Foundation for Franklin Smith Elementary School, Blue Springs, MO where Ryker was the happiest.
