I am grateful for the life of Sgt. Major (Ret.) Coffey. Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.
We will be here for you all to help you through this… love you all so much.
Russell was my little cousin and “buddy”. When he and his sisters were small, sometimes his parents would ask me to babysit. I was about 14 he was about 7. It didn’t seem like work to me..we all had fun together. He never quit talking always had something to say would follow me around all day long was full of surprises. One day he came running to me and said “Someone wants to meet you”. I thought: one of his little friends- so I agreed to go and see. Standing there smiling at me was a very handsome tall young man. I stopped in my tracks and was completely speechless. Russell stood there grinning. He thought it would be fun to get me a boyfriend! That’s Russell. Never a dull moment. I will miss him always. -Connie
