Roslyn Sage Esau, 23, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Reno, NV passed away September 6, 2021 from injuries sustained in a car accident. She was born May 16, 1998 to Richard and Katherine Esau.
Roslyn was a graduate of Bishop Manogue Catholic High School in Reno, NV. She attended Benedictine College in Atchison, KS and was employed as a Patient Care Technician for Northland DaVita Dialysis, where Roslyn’s sweetness touched the lives of all her patients.
Roslyn’s personality was infectious. Her smile brightened every room and she easily conveyed her genuine compassion for everyone around her. She exuded a passion for life, especially for her dogs Ellie and Tucker and three cats Jojo, Dudhers, and Jabril. She recently discovered her green thumb and kept busy in the evenings tending to her garden and sunflowers. Roslyn’s patience, tenderness, and adoration for children compelled her to acquire her CNA license and she recently secured a position at Children’s Mercy on the PICU.
Survived by her loving parents, Richard and Katherine; two sisters, Isabel Esau, Sierra Henness, married to Tyler Henness; and loving life partner, Tyler Mann.
All services will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church, 7207 N. Highway 9, Kansas City, Missouri on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial commencing at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by the Meyers Northland Chapel, Parkville, MO.

Rich, Kathy, Sierra, Izzy, Words are so inadequate at a time like this. Softball brought all of us together, yet Roz’s impacted my life, has been like no other person ever. In fact I learned more from Roz, about life and how to treat and interact with people, than I ever taught Roz about softball. Roz has been and always will be so very special to me, and has impacted my character in such positive ways, Everything in this world can be taken away, yet our memories of Roz can never be taken away. Our hearts may be broken, yet Roz will live on in each one of us, that she touched with her smile, and her hugs for coach. I am so blessed to have been a part of your extended family and especially in Roz’s life. My love to you all, always and forever….
Rich, Kathy, Sierra, and Izy

Hello Esau family,
I am so disheartened by this awful and tragic loss. Roslyn was one of the best friends I have ever had. I have been looking through old photos and videos we took together and realized that Roz probably made me laugh harder than anyone else on this earth. I have screen shots of text messages she sent me when I was going through hard times and she always knew how to brighten my day. She is hilarious, warm, loving, caring, confident, and beautiful. Her love and friendship truly affected my life for the better. There are few people in life that we truly know and feel known by, and I can honestly say Roz was one of these special people for me. I cannot believe she is gone and I cannot imagine what you are going through right now. Sierra and Izzy, growing up alongside you was a gift and I appreciate your love and friendship so much as well. Tyler, I never met you, but you and Roslyn looked so happy together and I am so sorry for your pain at this time.
I wish I could say something to make it better somehow, but I know those words do not exist and any attempt I could make would be frivolous. I do however, want you to know that she was so loved every day of her life. Her sweetness, wit, intelligence, passion, grin, and jubilance will always be remembered, and in that way, she will live forever. I love Roslyn and you all so much.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time. So sorry to hear this sad news. Love and prayers.
Dear Esau family,
No words can express how deeply sorry we are about Roslyn. Sending our thoughts and prayers to you all🙏
