Rockey Lee Harmon, 68, a resident of Blue Springs, MO was fortunate enough to join his Savior and family in Heaven, at home on Friday July 22, 2022.
Rockey was born in Coffeyville, Kansas. He graduated from Blue Springs High School and spent most of his working career as the service manager for KC Bobcat. Rockey retired in 2016 and spent the remainder of his years enjoying life at home with his wife LaDonna. He was an avid hunter who also enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle and restoring his classic car.
Rockey was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Arlie Harmon; step-son, John Woodard and step-granddaughter Maci Van Dolah. Survivors include his wife, LaDonna of 37 years, daughter, Cherry Smith and son in law Joe Smith; step-daughters, Laurie Chapman and Tammy Van Dolah; one sibling, Tammie Noland; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many friends.
Rockey will be cremated per his wishes. A private ceremony will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs. Memories of Rockey and words of comfort for his family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com.
For some reason LaDonna was on my mind and I happen to look her up on the internet and saw this. My condolences go out to you and you’re in my thoughts and prayers. I used to work with her at Evergreen lawns many years ago.
