A formal funeral procession will depart Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville, MO at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2023 in route to Leavenworth National Cemetery, where a Committal Service will take place at 9:00 a.m. Military Honors will be presented under the auspices of the United States Army Honor Guard.
Robert Lawrence Kindred Sr., 83 years old, was born on October 10th, 1939, to the union of Bennie Kindred and Queenie Bell McCraney Kindred. His parents and beloved wife, Elizabeth Kindred, preceded him in death.
Robert served in the US Army for a total of 7 years, with an honorable discharge in 1965. He accepted Christ as a young man and was not ashamed to share the Good News. He retired from Colgate Palmolive after 25 years in 1993. At that time, with his wife Elizabeth, began their entrepreneurship career. The most memorable was the 12 years they ran Bob & Liz Good Samaritan Laundromat in KCK.
Bob’s witty character and love for Christ will be missed.
“TO HONOR A VETERAN”
Thank you Robert for your service to our country. Because of your service you have given each and everyone of us our freedom.
God bless you for keeping our country safe and for all the sacrifices you have made for our country for me and for all of us.
LINDA PETERSON
WIFE OF A (DECEASED) UNITED STATES ARMY VETERAN
Sorry for the loss of your dad. I will miss his 3 minute calls a few times a month. He and my husband were good friends. Then he and I stayed friends. After my husband passed away.
Prayers for you my friend. And for the family.
