Robert Eugene Carder, 69, passed away March 24, 2023. Bob was born February 10, 1954 in Liberty MO, the son of Guy and Evelyn (Forman) Carder.
Bob was a graduate of Liberty High class of 1972. He attended William Jewell College where he received a BS in Business Administration in 1976. While at Jewell, he played football and in 2007 he was inducted into the William Jewell Athletic Hall of Fame as a member of the winningest Cardinals football team in Jewell’s program history.
Bob worked a variety of jobs over the years as he was Manager of the Metro North Shopping Center and an Operations Manager at Yellow Freight before starting his own lawncare company in the Northland that he operated for more than 25 years. He then worked at Hallmark Cards in Leavenworth for four years before retiring for good so he could spend more time with family.
Bob was an avid sports fan and followed the Kansas City Chiefs, Nascar, and local high school and college sports teams. He married his wife, Margie, in 2002 and together they enjoyed attending home and away Chiefs games, vacationing in Florida, California and Las Vegas and other warm climate locations.
In addition to his wife Margie, Bob is survived by his three stepchildren, Cliff, Cheryl, and Joseph Bowles, his three granddaughters Jacque, Margo, and Mia Bowles and his grandson and best buddy Brady Bowles. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his sisters, Mary Latteman, Wilma Mustion and his brothers Dr. Art Carder, Ralph Carder and Wayne Carder.
Visitation will be at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1357 NE 42nd Ter, Kansas City, MO 64116. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Uplift Organization, an outreach for the homeless of Kansas City, PO Box 270175, Kansas City, MO 64127 or online at uplift.org.

Margie, Paul and I did not know of Bob’s passing and we are so sorry for your loss. Please know that we enjoyed time spent with Bob. He will be missed I know.
