Reba M. Meyers, 90, a resident of Kansas City, MO passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017. She was born July 5, 1927 in St. Louis, MO to Riley T. and Della E. (Wilson) Vaughn.
Reba married the love of her life Johnny Meyers on December 4, 1950 in Kansas City, MO. She worked in the cafeteria for the Kansas City Missouri School District for several years. Reba was a member of the Friendly Assembly of God Church in Kansas City, MO. She enjoyed reading the Bible, leading the song service at church, crocheting, writing poetry, and sewing. Reba cherished the time spent with family and friends, especially the time spent with her grandchildren. Reba loved going to church and loved Jesus.
Survivors include, husband, Johnny Meyers of Kansas City, MO; children, Dolores Meyers Moore of Henderson, NV, John Meyers (Bonnie) of Blue Springs, Kay Hoff (Dale) of Peculiar, MO, Kyle Meyers (Marilyn) of Blue Springs, MO, Ronnie Stafford (Patty) of Greenville, SC; brothers, Carlos Dale Vaughn, and Travis Vaughn; grandchildren, Stacey Page, Natalie Young, Nicky Alaniz, Justin Hoff, Abby Hoff, Janessa Meyers, Leaanna Meyers, Hannah McDaniel, Joshua Meyers, Alexis Meyers, Ariannah Meyers, Skyler Meyers, Matthew Stafford, Sara Stafford Lear; 7 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Riley T. and Della E. Meyers; sisters, Marcele Zimmerman, Eunice Carrico, Gladys Oakley; brothers, W.E. Vaughn, Auburn Vaughn.
Memorial service for Reba will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 1, 2017 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St, Blue Springs, MO.
