Randy Corbett, 62, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at NorthCare Hospice with his loving family by his side. Randy was born November 17, 1960 to Roy and Nancy (Foley) Corbett in Smithville, MO.
Randy is a 1979 graduate of Park Hill High School. He played football as a wide receiver for the Trojans. After graduation he continued his education with DeVry University in the Kansas City area and received his certificate as a mechanic.
During the 1980’s – 1990’s Randy enjoyed dirt track racing in the Midwest, including Riverside MO and Lakeside Speedway, Savannah, Warrensburg and I-70 using the number 32 with the colors orange and black. Enjoyed spending a lot of time fishing many different places such as the family farm in Cameron. He also enjoyed working on and rebuilding cars including his first car a ’68 Mustang, ’74 Nova and ’79 Camaro.
He was an owner and operator of the BCR Radiator Shop in Northmoor, MO. He also worked for the city of Kansas City, Missouri as a maintenance mechanic for the Kansas City convention center.
Randy will be remembered for his bold sense of humor and speaking his mind freely. Known at work for being the self-proclaimed “#1 asshole.”
Randy is survived by his three children: Bradley Corbett; Chad Corbett and Megan Corbett; his parents, Roy and Nancy Corbett; a sister Terrie Meadows (Robbie) and a brother Scott Corbett (Christine).
I am very sorry for your loss. He was so young.
