Rahn E. Tieman 64, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away March 14, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday March 19th at Timothy Lutheran Church, 425 NE R.D. Mize Road, Blue Springs, Missouri. Visitation will precede the celebration from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, in Corder, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions to Head for The Cure Foundation (headforthecure.org).
Rahn was raised on a farm in the Corder, Missouri area. He was a graduate of Lafayette County C-1 High School, and attended the University of Missouri. Shortly afterwards Rahn began his career in banking, working over 40 years in the banking industry, and finishing his career as a financial advisor.
Rahn loved music, especially the Beatles. His loving family gave him a guitar which he truly loved to play by himself or with friends. He enjoyed traveling with his family and friends, woodworking, and making full size Jenga games or numerous other things .Rahn took great pride in keeping a manicured lawn. He spent many hours on the golf course, watching golf on TV enjoying his favorite game along with many other sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Jewell (Pregge) Tieman. Survivors include his wife Gail Tieman, daughter and son in law, Rebecca and Eric Rist, sister and brother in law, Candi and Paul Lee, and many extended family members.

Ruby and I are so sorry for your loss, Gail, Rebecca, and Candi. I had forgotten that Rahn had played guitar, which brought up a memory from grade school. I don’t remember who else was in the “band” but that he played lead and I think the song they knew the best was Pipeline which to a 6th grader, sounded pretty good.

Gail, I am in shock a great guy I , have known for far to short a time ( all of our lives) is gone way to fast.
