Quinten M. Denney of Platte County, MO passed away January 24, 2023 while under the care of Ascend Hospice. Quinten was born July 8, 1940 to Arland True and Emma Avice (Hewitt) Denney near Rosendale, MO.
He graduated in 1958 from North Andrew High School in Rosendale. He continued his education at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Graduated in 1962 with a degree of Bachelor of Science of Business Administration. He obtained his Certified Accounting Certificate (CPA) soon thereafter.
Quinten married his high school sweetheart Juanita June Brandon on June 4, 1961. Together they were blessed with four children: Gail, David, Darrel & Chris.
Quinten was preceded in death by his parents and a son Darrel. He is survived by Juanita of the home and their children: Gail Arant (Michael) of Liberty, MO; David Denney (Staci) of Liberty, MO; Chris Denney (Marilyn) of Kansas City, MO; seven Grandchildren: Jacob Arant; Lauren Garrett (Benn); Samuel Arant; Baileigh Carter (Tagen); Zeke Arant; Jordan Decker (Dalton) and Maddisen Oldham (Nick); two Great-Grandchildren Elliott Decker and Dane Garrett; one brother, Warren Denney (Judy) of Barnard, MO.
A Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m., Monday January 30, 2023 at Meyers Northland Chapel 401 Main St. Parkville, MO. The Funeral Service celebrating Quinten’s life will commence at 1:30 p.m. at the chapel with Pastor Brady Testorff officiating. A Committal Service will immediately follow at Platte City Cemetery in Platte City. MO. In lieu of flowers the family suggests Memorial contributions in memory of Quinten to Ascend Hospice 783 NE Anderson Lane Lee’s Summit, MO 64064. You and your whole family are in my heart. Your dad was a remarkable man and I’m so sorry for your loss. I fondly remember bluegrass nights at your house when we were kids and his kindness at church.

Gail, I am so sorry about your dad’s passing. I was shocked to see his obit listed on FB. Please pass my condolences to your mom and siblings. Your dad was so wonderful when my mother passed in doing her taxes, etc. and your brother Chris had just started as an EMT when he was one of the group that came with the ambulance to take her to the hospital. Praying for all of you.
