Paul Eugene Williams 76, formerly of Independence, Missouri passed away peacefully Sunday, March 12, 2023. Paul was born June 20, 1946 to Solomon Otto and Mary (Richart) Williams in Kansas City, MO.
Paul graduated from East High School, Kansas City, MO. After graduating he joined the United States Navy. He was married to Linda (Jarrett) Williams 1966-1995. They raised two sons Richard and Jerry. Paul was a union carpenter. When not working Paul loved the outdoors and spent as much time as he could outdoor fishing or hunting small game. Paul enjoyed a good yard sale and hunting for treasures. Paul’s most precious time was spent with his sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Those surviving include his two sons, Richard Williams and his wife Melissa of Blue Springs; Jerry Williams and wife Mary of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Two sisters; Nellie Potter and husband Lloyd of Bates City, Missouri, Shirley Rinkenbaugh and her Husband, Bud of Independence, MO. Paul is also survived by his grandchildren; Kaylee Christenson and husband Zane of Blue Springs, MO. Karsen Williams of Blue Springs, MO. Jennifer McCune and husband David of Independence, MO. Jesse Williams and wife Amber of Lee’s Summit, MO. Tyler Williams and fiancé Tai’Lyn of Lenexa, KS and Brandon Williams of Lee’s Summit. He was also blessed with seven great grandchildren, many other family and dear friends. Those proceeding him in death include his parents, one sister and two brothers.
Paul was a friend to all who knew him with a servant’s heart. He was known in his Neighborhood, for always having an open door and giving heart. He touched many lives with his generosity, warm heart and sense of humor. Our loss is truly Heavens gain, until we meet again…
Paul will be cremated per his wishes. At this time there will not be any formal services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs. Memories of Paul and words of comfort for his family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com.
