Patricia Mills (Mamaw Pat), age 95, went to be with Jesus on Monday, July 31st, 2023. She was born April 14th, 1928 in Indianapolis, IN to Ira and Nola Strockbine. She was known by several names; Patricia, Pat, Momma, and Mamaw. Each name she carried signified who she was to all of us. She was a true friend, a legendary grandmother and great grandmother, and a heroic mom. In the ninety-five years that she walked this earth, Mamaw experienced great love and joy and also unimaginable loss and hardship. She was the strongest woman perhaps this world has ever known. Through it all, Mamaw Pat loved the Lord. In her last days on this earth she spoke about meeting Jesus. She was ready. She had run her race; and she ran it well! We will miss the way she made us laugh without really even trying, and we will miss her profound words of wisdom and her prayers. We will forever miss her bright blue eyes, her tender hugs and her warm apple pies. Mamaw dedicated her life to loving her family, and her love will live in our hearts until we are reunited once again in Heaven.
Mamaw Pat is preceded in death by her husbands (Wayne Warnholz, Charles Jenkins, Al Freeman, and Cletus Mills), her parents (Ira and Nola Strockbine), her siblings (Bill, Bud, Dottie, and Carolyn), her children (John Warnholz, Debbie Bretzinger, and Sandy Warnholz), her step children (Ronnie and Kelly Jenkins) and her grandchildren (Shannon Bretzinger and Tiffani Warnholz).
Mamaw Pat is survived by Sharon and Matthew Perry (daughter and son-in-law) and David Bretzinger (son-in-law), Charles Jenkins, Cindy Jenkins, and Susie Brooks (step children), grandchildren and spouses (Tori and Hunter Martinez, Moriah and Steven Schowengerdt, Josiah and Sara Perry, Amy and Jim Duncan, David Wayne and Dianne Bretzinger, Brandin and Cassie Bretzinger, and Shawn Bretzinger). Her eleven great grandchildren are Cameron Bretzinger; Andrew, Chloe and Sophie Duncan; Eila, Blythe, Luella, and Florence Showengerdt; Ezra Martinez; Braxton Perry; and Alivia Bretzinger. She has two surviving siblings (Ann Smith and Marilyn Donovan).
I wish I could be there for you to help celebrate her life and home going. But unfortunately, I will be stuck at work.
A beautiful lady and a beautiful life lived for the Lord. Pat was such a spiritual inspiration to all when she attended Bible Center. So faithful to the Lord and to our church. Sorry for your loss Sharon, Matt, and family. May the Lord send you peace and comfort.
I had the honor of caring for such an angel on earth. She had the softest hands and comforting touch. The impact she had on me was nothing more than heaven sent. I sure am going to miss those hugs.
What a blessing and honor it was to know and love sweet Pat. She left us with such fond memories and reasons to smile. She took pieces of our hearts with her but will forever be imbedded in our hearts. She was beautiful, strong like a warrior, kind, and loving. Rest in Jesus Arms Pat, we love and miss you.
My deepest condolences to all of you!!! From my entire family to yours.
We will miss you so much, but are grateful that you are reunited with Mom (Debbie), who loved you so very much. It was an amazing gift to have you as long as we did.
