Pam was united in marriage with Gerald “Jerry” Schleicher on August 22, 1965 in Gering, NE. Their adventures in life took them many places with lots to see and things to do. Jerry took a job in Albuquerque, New Mexico where Pam worked as a bookkeeper and payroll clerk. Jerry worked at the Sears warehouse and attended the University of New Mexico. Jerry earned his college degree in 1971; they later moved to Denver, where Pam continued to work as a payroll clerk, and Jerry began his career as a photojournalist for farm and ranch magazines. Over the next three years Jerry began receiving job offers from other magazines in Chicago, Milwaukee and Minneapolis. In 1975, they moved to Minneapolis; Pam enrolled in the local Community College to earn her Associate Degree while Jerry worked for the magazine. In 1977 they moved to Yakima, Washington where Pam took the opportunity to complete her four year degree in Accounting at Central Washington State University. In August of 1979 they relocated to Kansas City where Jerry created a Public Relations Department for a large advertising agency. Pam completed her CPA and went on to work as a Field Auditor and Credit Manager for Wausau Insurance Company.
Pam & Jerry continued to fulfill their dream of seeing the world. They traveled to England, Mexico, and the Bahamas, owned a condo in the Cayman Islands for nearly 25 years. The past eight years they were avid poker players, especially at the Argosy Casino in Riverside, MO.
