Donita Sue Doty, 72, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in Buckner, MO. She was born November 19, 1949 to Samuel and Ethel (Wilson) Jackson in Independence, MO.
Donita was a 1968 graduate of Grain Valley High School. She was united in marriage to Robert Lee Doty on December 7, 1968 in Grain Valley, MO. Donita enjoyed staying home and raising her three children while they were young. She worked various jobs until 1999 when she started helping out with her grandchildren. Donita enjoyed watching t.v. and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson.
Survived by her children, Lance Doty and wife Stefanie of Buckner, MO, David Doty and wife Toni of Buckner, MO, Erin Doty of Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren, Tyler Doty, Anthony Doty, Alexzander Doty, Julian Choice, Jayden Doty, Madison Doty; great-grandson, Masten Burris; siblings, Marie Carpenter of Springfield, MO, Jacquelyn Henkins of Oak Grove, MO, Robert Jackson and wife Julie of Springfield, MO. Donita is preceded in death by her husband; parents; siblings, Dee Wilson, Frances Quick, Gerald Quick, Robert Quick, Wayne Quick, Gary Jackson, and Bryan Jackson.
Her family will receive family and friends from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2022 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St, Blue Springs, MO. Memorial service will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the chapel. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation/Susan G.
