Miranda Nicole Hale, 33, a Northland resident in Kansas City, MO passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 following a courageous five year battle with cancer. She was born July 31, 1980 in Wichita, KS to Pam Ruebelmann and Tim Hale.
Miranda graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1998. She attended Kansas State University and received a BA in English from the University of Kansas. Miranda spent the last couple of years of her employment with Tyco ADT in technical support.
She possessed a kind heart, and a strong spirit. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and watching movies (especially old movies with Riff Tracks) with her close friends Kelly, Ben, Chris and Alia. Her dog, Sammie, was her constant companion and most treasured gift. She was well traveled, having taken trips to England, Germany, Hawaii, Greece and her most favorite, Italy. Some of her best times were spent visiting her dad in Washington, exploring the majestic mountains, forest and lakes in the Northwest with him while he shot his nature photography. Miranda liked spending time cruising in her powder blue Mustang, which she fondly called her “pony”. “Auntie M” always enjoyed hanging with and spending time with her “nephs”, KJ.
Survivors include her parents, Pam Ruebelmann and step-father, Steven Lyne of Kansas City, MO; her father, Tim Hale and step-mother, Ann of Concrete, WA; a brother, Zack Hale and nephew, KJ of Kansas City, KS. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Annie Hale, in 2013.
The family would like to thank Dr. Sarah Taylor and the Staff at the University of Kansas Hospital, and the Cancer Center for their excellent care. The family is also forever grateful for the loving care provided at St. Luke’s Hospice House during Miranda’s final days.
