Michael C. “Mike” Norris, 67 of Kansas City, MO (formerly of Gladstone, MO) passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022. Mike was born April 24, 1955 to Clinton “Bud” and Geraldine “Gerry” Norris (Brungardt) in Wichita, KS.
Mike grew up in the Bolling Heights Community of Gladstone, MO. He attended St. Charles Borromeo School thru the 8th grade. Graduated from St. Pius X High School in 1973. Mike was very active in the Boy Scouts during his school days. He earned his Eagle Scout and was a Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say.
After graduation from St. Pius X, Mike joined the United States Air Force and proudly served his country. He continued his education in the Air Force and earned his Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Mike continued working as an Electrical Engineer in the private sector after his 18-year career in the military.
Mike was preceded in death by both parents. He is survived by his 7 siblings: Debbie Ornellas (Gene); Linda Comfort (Greg); Pam Norris; Pat Rinehart (Phil); Teresa Watson (Stan); Greg Norris (Cindy) and Stan Norris; uncles; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Prayer Service will be held from 12:00 – 12:30, Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville, MO. A Gathering of family and friends will be held from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2022. A Committal Service will follow at 2:30 p.m., Leavenworth National Cemetery 150 Muncie Road, Leavenworth, KS. In lieu of flowers the family requests Memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association. Memories of Mike and condolences to the family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com.
My heart goes out to you and all of your family Linda. It would be hard to lose a sibling. May God grant him the everlasting peace of heaven. May God give you and your family that peace and understanding of his power and grace. May God wrap his arms around each of you so you can feel his presence and understand his timing. Mike is no longer suffering and is at peace now. Thinking and praying for all of you, at this time.

I remember Mike coming to visit us in Wichita while was he was in airforce. So proud of his serve to our country. My heart goes out to all of you and know the empty feeling it leaves. You are all in my prayers and thoughts. Love you all.
