Mike rented a 50.00 space at a flea market that he did not need. When he asked for refund the rather nasty woman in charge refused. Mike made arrangements with a friend and when the woman was nearby , Mike put up a sign offering the space for 200.00. As the woman watched the friend came over and eagerly paid in cash. Mike just looked at the woman and smiled. He was full of stories like that.
I worked with mike at the TWA overhaul base from 1973 to 2005 when I retired. mike was what I called a truly legendary “character” at the base. The last time I saw and spoke to mike was at a annual White Cloud Labor Day flea market event. Mike was a wonderful guy and will be missed….RIP Mike…
I bought alot of tools from Mike. I will miss him dearly. We sat and visited together alot at Brownville and in Waverly. I will miss the good old times. I don’t know of a person that didn’t speak nice words about him. My deepest condolences to the family.

I just found out today at the Council Grove flea market that Mr. Roll passed away. Makes me sad that I won’t be seeing him and his truck of goodies anymore. (He always had stuff that you never knew you needed until you saw it!) He was a sweet man, and from the conversations I had with him, I could tell that he thought the world of his wife; she could do no wrong. I admired him for that. I offer my condolences to her, and to all of Mr. Roll’s family and friends.
