About Meyers Funeral Chapel
Founded in 2006, Meyers Funeral Chapel is first-generation, family-owned, and operated. With two locations, Meyers has become one of the premier funeral providers and one of the few family-owned left in the Kansas City area.
We do not believe in checklist services. Family owned means we can make immediate decisions, handle personal service requests, and serve the needs of our clients without delay or approval from a corporate entity.
Our owners and staff live and work in the communities we serve and value not only your business, but also your trust. We build relationships across generations.
Our Staff
Founder and Principal Partner
Marty is the principal partner for Meyers Funeral Chapel along with his wife Kim. He has been serving families for over 20 years and founded Meyers Funeral Chapel in 2006. Marty and Kim are members of St. John LaLande Parish in Blue Springs. He is a member of the Blue Springs Rotary and is very active in the Blue Springs community. His attention to detail and sincere care and concern for the families served has been instilled in everyone within the Meyers’ organization.
Kim Meyers
Founder and Principal Partner
Kim is a principal partner for Meyers Funeral Chapel along with her husband Marty. She manages the Blue Springs office and is the public relations contact. Kim and Marty are members of St. John LaLande Parish in Blue Springs. Kim is an avid supporter of the Blue Springs community.
Managing Partner
Todd started his career while in high school as an apprentice for Marty and Dennis. After becoming a partner he was an integral part of renovating and developing the Northland location. Todd now manages operations for the Meyers organization. Todd is active and well known in the Parkville community. He and his wife Nikki have two children, Evan (19) and Avery (16).
Dennis Meyers
Partner and Vice-President
Dennis has been serving families in the Blue Springs area alongside his brother Marty since 1993. He has played a key role in building the Meyers reputation that it is known for today. Dennis and his wife Julie have two children, Adrianna (18) and Chase (16). They are active members of St. John LaLande Parish and in the Blue Springs community.
Manager- Blue Springs Chapel
Tyler became a key asset to the Meyers’ team in 2011. On October 2, 2018 Tyler was promoted and named manager of our Blue Springs location. Tyler and his wife Avery have two children, Grace (9) and Kinley (1). Tyler and his family are active members of the community.
Manager – Northland Chapel
Loretta is a Kansas City Northland native and has played a key role in the success of the Meyers Northland location. On October 24, 2022 Loretta was promoted and named manager of our Northland location. Loretta and her husband Cade live in Kansas City, MO. She has two sons, Nigel and Ian. Loretta plays an active within the community.
Justin Oldham
Blue Springs Chapel
Justin Lee Oldham is a licensed funeral director and embalmer who recently moved to the Kansas City area from Southern Illinois with his family. Justin worked as a funeral director in Mount Vernon, Illinois for nearly 20 years before moving his family in 2021 to Liberty, Missouri – his wife’s hometown. Together with his family he enjoys camping, exploring Kansas City, and being a silly and fun “girl-dad”. Justin is a compassionate, loving, and empathetic individual who brings many years of experience caring for families with him to the Blue Springs Meyers Funeral Chapel team.
