Mary Christine Muller, 81, a Northland resident of Kansas City, MO, and parishioner of St. Therese Catholic Church, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 13, 2023, with her loving family by her side. Mary was born August 15, 1941, to Harold and Margaret (Devilbiss) Crook in Denver, Colorado.
Mary was united in marriage with Ronald Muller on January 9, 1965, in Denver, CO. From this union they had three sons: Ron, Rob and Rick. Mary worked outside of the home as a grocery clerk or professionally hanging wallpaper, but her true passion was spending time with family and raising her three sons. As grandchildren came into the picture, she also enjoyed spending time with them.
Mary enjoyed working complex puzzles; playing cards; crocheting; making macrame home décor; laughing and talking with friends; and traveling with family, especially to beautiful beaches where she could search for seashells and sand dollars, walk sandy beaches, and enjoy the calming tides of the ocean.
She was good at hunting for four leaf clovers and playing One-Armed Bandit at local casinos, as well as Powerball or scratch-off tickets.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Ron Muller; three sons: Ronald J. Muller (Kirsten), Robert J. Muller (Nancy), and Richard L. Muller (Julie); nine grandchildren: Abby and husband Jonathan, Nicholas and wife Cassidy, Olivia, Lillian, James, Meghan, Ellie, Katie, and Nikki; four great-grandchildren: Joe John, Dean, Toni Rose, and Hattie; two nieces: Cari and Peggy; two nephews: Chris and Pat; a special friend Jeannie whom the Muller family adopted as a daughter and sister; five godchildren: Emma, Michael, Madeline, Ellie, and Andrew; a sister-in-law and lifelong friend Coni Moore. Mary was preceded in death by both parents and two brothers: Tom Crook and Don Crook.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 20, 2023, at Meyers Northland Chapel 401 Main St. Parkville, MO. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. at the chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Mary’s life will commence at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at St. Therese Catholic Church 7207 N.W. Highway 9 Kansas City, MO, with Fr. Randy Sly presiding. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation at www.parkinson.org Memories of Mary and condolences to the family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com
So sorry for your loss. Thoughts & prayers for all the family.
Peace and love to the family.
We were so sorry to hear about Mary. Her family used to live next door to us on Camden Ave., and were great neighbors. Mary used to tell me about living in California and it made me want to move there! She always had beautiful hanging flower baskets on her deck, and we used to enjoy visiting with each other over the fence. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with her family in this sad time.
Please accept our sincere condolences. Our thought & prayers for you Ron, your sons and all your family.
What a beautiful pictorial tribute. Such a beautiful family & so much love. I’ve never seen such devotion from a husband in my nearly 20 years of nursing. I was planning on going to the visitation when the time came but sadly, my brother unexpectedly passed away the same day that Mary’s beautiful soul left this earth. May your memories of her always keep you close. Sincerely, “Nurse Stephanie.”
