The Funeral service will commence at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Meyers Northland Chapel with Pastor Tyler Wilkins from Fellowship Kansas City officiating. Interment will immediately follow at East Slope Cemetery, Riverside, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association. Mary E. Aring, 85, a Platte County, MO resident passed away peacefully at home, under hospice care with her loving family by her side. Mary was born September 26, 1937 to Charlie and Nellie (Earls) Huff in Greer, Missouri.
She was very active within her church and was devoted to both her Lord and her family. Mary was a Founding member of the South Platte Baptist Church; she was the Treasurer, Youth Leader, Teen Leader, just to name a few titles she held for over 30 years.
Mary was united in marriage with Fred Aring on July 26, 1958 in Willow Springs, Missouri.
Mary’s hobbies included: sewing; painting ceramics; quilling; bead work; fabric painting; collecting dolls; traveling the United States and Internationally with her husband, Fred. She was an accomplished cake decorator and loved watching the Kansas City Royals play baseball.
Mary is survived by her two daughters: Shirley Plemmons (Greg); and Rhonda Tang (Cornel); 6 grandchildren: Bryan Plemmons; Debbie Nook; Kayla Smallwood; Ariana Fehrenbach; Jennifer Smallwood; Davis Tang; 4 great grandchildren: Mackenzie Plemmons; Alex Nook; Bennett Nook and Hadley Plemmons. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Aring; both parents, Charlie and Nellie Huff; 5 siblings: Mildred Havens, Floyd Huff, Melvin Huff, Rosalie “Rose” Pennington and Doyle Huff.

She will be missed, she loved God, was a great Christian example and was an awesome friend. She touched many lives and now she is at peace! Praise God w for placing her in my life!
Shirley & Rhonda sorry for your loss. Ma was an amazing woman that I was blessed to know. I always left her presence encouraged and loved. In my ministry days I never ran a VBS without thinking of the wonderful ones she put on.
