Marjorie Lee Roesing, 93, a long-time resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away Sunday April 19, 2020 at Addington Place of Lee’s Summit, MO.
She was born August 14, 1926 in Chula, MO to Alexander and Clara Belle (Sherrow) Frakes. She was preceded in death by her husband James, her parents, and her six (6) siblings Inez (Frakes) Willars, Dorothy (Frakes) Williams, Mary Frakes, Alexander Frakes, Robert Frakes and Melvin Frakes.
Marjorie was united in marriage to James Paul Roesing on August 31, 1947 in Mindenmines, MO. She loved to square dance and round dance with Jim. She was an amazing cook. She loved to spend time with her family at their cabin at The Lake of the Ozarks. After Jim passed away in 1992, she became very independent. She never complained and stayed very active – maintaining her excellent health.
One of her favorite sayings was “As you ramble on through life, whatever be your goal, keep your eye upon the donut and not upon the hole”.
She is survived by her son James Roesing and his wife Kay of Centerton, AR; daughter Carolyn (Roesing) Thrasher and her husband Chris of Hesston, KS; grandchildren Jason Thrasher (Janet), Joseph Thrasher, Jereme Roesing, Tyler Roesing (Dani); great grandchildren Katie Thrasher, Amber Thrasher, Jace Thrasher, Emma Thrasher and Tristan Roesing.
A private inurnment will be held at Blue Springs Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Jim. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs. Memories of Marjorie and words of comfort for her family may be shared at meyersfuneralchapel.com
