Marilyn Frances Lord, 86, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully Monday, November 7, 2022 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO. She was born September 17, 1936 to Ralph and Aleda (Schurhammer) Bricher in Saint Paul, MN.
Marilyn is a 1954 graduate of Central High School in Saint Paul, MN. She was united in marriage to Edward William Lord on September 17, 1955 in Saint Paul, MN. Marilyn attended St. Mark Catholic Church in Independence, MO. She was an avid Hallmark Christmas ornament collector, Marilyn also enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, and making felt calendars for family members and friends. Above all Marilyn cherished spending time with her loved ones.
Survived by son, William Lord and wife Sherry of Blue Springs, MO; daughter, Cynthia Darnell of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren, Blake, Rachel and husband Ryan, Jonathan, Jamie; great-grandchildren, Summer Rose, Kinley, Alexis; siblings, Judith O’Connell of Saint Paul, MN, James Bricher and wife Janet of Saint Paul, MN. Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Deborah Rosebrough; and parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2022 at St. Mark Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Rd, Independence, MO. Her family will receive family and friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the start of mass at the church. Burial will follow at Swan Lake Memorial Park Cemetery in Grain Valley, MO. In lieu of flowers her family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs. I will always remember Marilyn fondly from the time she spent with us at St. Mary’s. We attended many Masses together in our little Chapel and prayed many prayers together. God rest her soul.
