Maralee Vestana Rodgers, 78, of Oak Grove, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence, MO. She was born July 12, 1942, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of the late Frank and Zelda V. (Davis) Patti.
Maralee was a dedicated wife and mother and worked 20 years as an adjuster at GEHA.
On November 19, 1960 she married Alvis “Freddie” Rodgers in Kansas City, MO. He survives of the home. Other survivors include her children; Ed Rodgers (Anne Jackson), Oak Grove, MO, Katherine Majors (Ron), Oak Grove, MO, Martha Rodgers, Peculiar, MO, Clay Rodgers (Lisa), Blue Springs, MO, Sarah Bajkowski (Dennis), Oak Grove, MO; three sisters, Kay Chullino (Dave), Kansas City, MO, Kathy Patti, Kansas City, MO, and Fran Florea, Kingsville, MO. She also has six grandchildren, Austin Rodgers (Claire), Hannah Green (Jordan), Gretchen Hart (Aaron), Samantha Carter, Jackson Rodgers and Joseph Rodgers, and two great grandchildren, Meredith Green and Boone Hart. She was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Patti and two sisters, Nancy Mitchell and Joya McCollom.
Due to COVID-19 private family services will be held. Meyers Funeral Chapel, Blue Springs, MO has been entrusted to her care. In lieu of flowers, Maralee requests that contributions may be given to the Grain Valley Branch of the Mid-Continent Public Library @ https://mymcpl.thankyou4caring.org/inmemorydonation and to quit smoking those damn cigarettes.

It brings great sadness to me that Maralee has past she was like a second mom to me . Growing up next door to the Rodgers I spent at there house as I did mine when I was a kid.
