She married Floyd Linden Orr on May 2, 1947 in Cameron, MO. He precedes her death. Lorena was a hard worker and spent most of her career working for Sears and Roebuck where she later retired. She had a love for dogs and wildlife. Lorena had a lot of Harry Truman in her and definitely the Kirkendoll bloodline. She was known to always speak her mind. Lorena will be remembered as a caring and genuine person who always stood behind her family and friends, especially her children.
In addition to her husband, Lorena was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and two grandsons. She is survived by her children, Linda L. Jurgeson of Independence, MO; Debbie J. Austin of Buckner, MO; Michael F. Orr and wife Patricia of Parkville, MO; LeAnne Graves of Trenton, MO; two brothers, Leonard Milligan of Iowa; Lloyd D. Milligan and wife Lalah of Liberty, MO; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
A committal service will be held later this spring in Cameron Memory Gardens, Cameron, MO. Per her wishes, Mrs. Orr has been cremated under the direction of the Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville. Memorial contributions are suggested to FOPAS (Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter), 1356 N. MO Highway 9, Parkville, MO 64152.
