Linda Ann McClain, 79, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully at the Oak Grove Nursing and Rehab Inc. in Oak Grove, MO. She was born July 7, 1942 to Clarence and Lilly (Burks) Lockwood in Columbia, MO.
Linda graduated in 1960 from Bishop Lillis High School in Kansas City, MO. She was united in marriage to William Gary McClain on April 17, 1966 in Independence, MO. Linda was a stay at home mother who enjoyed raising her 3 children. She was Catholic by faith. Linda enjoyed garage sales, thrift shops, sewing, taking photos and shopping with her daughter. She cherished looking after her great-grandson, Locklynn McClain, grandson, Seth McClain and keeping all their friends belly’s full.
Survived by her loving husband of 56 years, William McClain of Blue Springs, MO; children, Dianne Blum and husband Tim of Porstmouth, IA, James McClain and his wife Robin of Lawson, MO, Jenny Moyer and her husband Charles of Oak Grove, MO; grandson, Seth McClain of Grain Valley, MO; great-grandson, Locklynn McClain.
A graveside service will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the Blue Springs Cemetery. The family asks that if any donations were to be given, it would be used to help with her headstone. I will miss Aunt Linda so much! She made me laugh and smile everytime I saw her at the Salon. Her witty, sassy attitude was my favorite thing about her. She loved her family so much, and kept me updated with everyone and what they were up to. I will miss seeing her. Prayers for Gary and all the family. She will be missed so much!

So sorry for the loss of your life time partner, friend and loving wife . She was our friend also we loved her dearly. She was always such a fun person to be around. I’m so sorry for your loss. Linda was like a 2nd mom to me growing up clear down to grounding me. She was a wonderful and fun loving person to be around and she will be missed dearly by so many.
