Linda L. Vaughan – Platte City, MO 11.09.2023

     She graduated from Park Hill High School and spent the majority of her working career as a dispatch supervisor the North Kansas City Police Department.  She had a deep love for both her Lord and her family.  She was a faithful member of The Calling Community Church in Platte City.  In her spare time she enjoyed and was accomplished at many things including: fishing, shooting, wood working, sewing and yes, even shopping.

     Family was most important to Linda.  She married Donald W. Vaughan on April 30, 1999 in Platte City.  In addition to Donny, survivors include her mother, Marjorie R. Owens of Lansing, KS; three sons: Jimmy Clark of Kansas City, Richard Clark of Platte City and Jeff Clark of Kansas City; three sisters: Beverly Taulbee and husband, Stanley of Weston, MO, Karen Hill and husband, Paul of Lee’s Summit, MO and Ginger Ballaibe of Platte City, MO; two beloved grandsons, Brandon and Jacob; and two great grandchildren, Princeton and GrayLynn.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by three siblings: Ray Edward McClung, Brenda McClung and Roy McClung.

     Family and friends will gather to celebrate Linda’s life on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at the Calling Community Church in Platte City, MO.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Memorial Service commencing at 11:00 a.m.  Pastor Brady Testorff officiating.  Graveside services and urn placement will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Humboldt, KS.  Memorial Contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and may be left in care of the Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville.  Memories of Linda and condolences may be shared at Meyersfuneralchapel.com.
