Lawrence “Larry” Angelotti, 69, of Blue Springs, MO passed this life February 7, 2018 at Centerpoint Hospital. A celebration of Larry’s life will be at 1:00 pm, Sunday, February 25, 2018 at the Elks Lodge #2509, 100 NE Brizendine Rd., Blue Springs, MO. Larry was born January 29, 1949 in Erie, Pennsylvania the son of Lawrence and Jean (Oligeri) Angelotti. He was the owner/operator of Midwest Controls, Inc. He was a proud Army veteran of the Vietnam War receiving two Purple Hearts on his tour of duty. He was catholic by faith, enjoyed bowling, golf, deep sea fishing, darts, sports cars, was an active member of the Blue Springs Elks Lodge #2509, and Piper Lake Shore Club. He loved traveling to Las Vegas and Hawaii. Preceding him in death are his parents, and twin brother Garry. Larry loved his sweet dogs Heidi and Duchess, and deeply missed his dogs Bailey and Buddy.
Survivors include his love of 20 years Phyllis Clevenger of the home; sons, Chris Angelotti of Shawnee, KS, Jimmy Angelotti (April) of Basehor, KS; grandchildren, Meredith and Anthony Angelotti of Shawnee, KS, Samantha, James, and Ava Angelotti of Basehor, KS, Tommy Maxwell (Brianna) of Liberty, MO, and Payton Maxwell of Weatherby Lake, MO; sisters, Rita Jacobson (John, “Jake”) of Dekalb, IL, Roberta Taylor (Dick) of Chesterton, IN, Tina McKimmey (Keith) of Morton, IL; brothers, Geno Angelotti of West Palm Beach, FL, David Angelotti (Gayelle) of St. Petersburg, FL; daughter in-law, Andrea Hernandez (Rod) of Eudora, KS; son in-law, Todd Maxwell (Angie) of Weatherby Lake, MO; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Larry, I’m so grateful we had a few moments together last Sunday. The times we shared over the years – the golf leagues, pond projects, parties and dart leagues – all enriched my life more than you could have known. Thank you. Farewell my friend…until I see you again.

I only knew Larry 2 years which was way too short of time I will miss seeing him walk into the lodge with Phyllis by his side well miss you very much
I’m so sorry I didn’t get know Larry well until his last visit to Cocoa Beach. That’s when we discovered that we were at Ft Benny the same time. We were both there when Jonh Wayne was making his movie “Green Beret”.
