Larry Lee Simpson, 75 a resident of Clinton, MO passed away peacefully Friday, November 25, 2022 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. He was born June 28, 1947 to William “Bill” and Carmen (Eagen) Simpson in Independence, MO.
On February 12, 1994 Larry was united in marriage to Julie Lisonbee in Uncertain, TX. Larry served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He spent his working career on the assembly line for General Motors. Larry enjoyed fishing, turkey hunting, collecting old cars, and attending his grandchildren’s sporting activities.
Survived by his son, Nathan Simpson and wife Shelly of Kingsville, MO; daughters, Laura Walker of Grain Valley, MO, Traci Still of Overland Park, KS; step-sons, Clark Givens of Blue Springs, MO, Gary Givens of Blue Springs, MO, Sean Givens of Grain Valley, MO; brother, Richard Simpson and wife Sandy of Hollister, MO; grandchildren, Brandi Erin, Tyler, Austin, Billy, Andrew, Carlie, Rachel, Amanda; great-grandchildren, James, Noah, Emma, and Gavin. Larry is preceded in death by his daughter, Brandi Leigh; step-son, James Givens; and his parents.
His family will receive family and friends from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St, Blue Springs, MO. So sorry to hear the loss of Larry, a great friend to my parents and myself and sister, I know he missed my parents greatly when they left he will be missed just as much.
