Larry was raised in the small town of Brookfield, MO. He graduated from High School, being 1st lead in Saxaphone, and later moved to the Kansas City area to work in the Paint Department at General Motors; he retired after 39 + years of dedicated service.
He lived life one day at a time enjoying time well spent with family and friends. Walking down memory lane in the 1980’s: Larry enjoyed meeting friends to indulge a meal with a spirit or two at his favorite bar and Grill-the Old Firehouse on Barry Road. More recently, Larry could be seen at Rancho Grande in Parkville on Tuesdays with his buddies celebrating Taco Tuesday. On Fridays He would have breakfast with his friends then go to Estate Sales with them. Family time, relaxing at home with his grandchildren, Rylee and Avery they would listen to songs from the 1950’s music and he tried to get his granddaughter to watch old John Wayne movies (No Successes). He would take her to Dairy Queen for whatever she wanted. He did get her to watch some black and whites, which she enjoyed. He loved for his Grandson to come over. He enjoyed all of his cantering. Larry would occasionally take time for himself and manicure his lawn.

What a great guy! Will miss his sense of humor- one of a kind. Had so much fun in our younger days at Donovans! Sharon, so glad you had 30+ years together!
I worked with Larry at GM for close to 30 years. First in the paint shop and then in salvage department. We were able to share a lot of laughs together which made the days go by quickly. We stayed in touch in are retirement years. We even shared a couple of Breakfasts at the Corner Cafe in River Side. I will miss his laughter and will always cherish his friendship. RIP my friend.
Hugs & prayers to Sharon & family in the loss of a great guy & friend who was funny, smart & kind. He will be greatly missed!
Larry was a great cousin. I remember the summer he visited our Grandpa and Grandma Jones in the Chicago burbs. My Mom bleached his hair for him. It was always nice to see him when we visited Brookfield over the years. He will be missed by many.
