Larry, a resident of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 82. He was born on November 16, 1941, in Ridgeway, Missouri to Cecil Edward and Ethel Marie (Williamson) Anderson. On April 19, 1963, he was united in marriage to Betty Ann Welsh in Independence, Missouri.
Larry graduated from Bethany High School. He worked for the Kenworth Trucking Company for over 30 years and was a member of the First Bible Baptist Church in Blue Springs. Larry and his wife, Betty, were also members of the Jaycees, Cloverleaf Square Dancers, Motorcycle Club, and the Good Sams Camping Club, until recently when Larry’s illness progressed.
Larry was a great husband, father, and grandfather. He was known as a quiet man who enjoyed sitting back and watching his family interact and enjoy each other. Larry was a hard worker, spending most of his time outside or in his garage teaching his daughters about cars, but only if it was a Ford. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and could often be found down on the floor playing with them. He enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR, as well as cheering on his favorite sports teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals.
Larry is survived by his wife, Betty Anderson, his daughter, Brenda Martin, and his four grandchildren, Logan Martin, Jayme Blazek and husband Michael, Landon Ultican, Lexie Winters and husband Jake. He is also survived by his four great-grandchildren, Colton, Brynnlee, Barrett, and Grayson. He is preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Ethel Anderson, Siblings: Glen, Georgie, Goldie, and Joann, and his beloved daughter Angela Ultican.
