Kimberly “Kim” Whalen, 61, of Platte City, MO passed away Monday, June 6, 2022. Kim was born April 10, 1961 to Ray and Mary (Donald) Lindberg.
Kim was an entrepreneur of indoor and outside decorating. She owned Sundance Artistic Surfaces. Her exceptional artistic skills were to enhance pathways, driveways, and the interior design of many homes.
She was a lover of all animals; especially rescue horses, wild horses, and miniature horses.
She loved her sons with all her heart and was proud of the men they became. Kim will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
Kim was preceded in death by both parents, and a sister Angie Lindberg. She is survived by her two loving sons, Coire Whalen and Hunter Whalen; the father of Coire and Hunter, Jeff Whalen; a sister Renee Sutherby (Steve); and a brother Mark Lindberg (Rhonda); along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. ~ 12:00 p.m., Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville, MO. A Celebration of Kim’s life will commence at 12:00 p.m. at the chapel.
