Kereti S. Misailegalu, 66, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 26, 1955 in Aoa, American Samoa, the son of Mauia L. and Faialofa R. (Toala) Misailegalu and his aunt Taunu’u Misailegalu who raised him.
Kereti had been a Blue Springs, MO resident for the past 5 years moving from Seattle, WA. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Blue Springs, MO and the Samoan Community in Independence, MO.
He married Agnes Young on August 8, 1976 in Seattle, WA. Survivors include his wife, Agnes Tu’upule Misailegalu, five children; Siliagamani Misailegalu (Victoria), Margaret Samana (Clete), Arieta Daniels, Rosalind Misailegalu, and Taunu’ Misailegalu (Taylor), Arieta JA Misailegalu, five brothers; Talaga Misailegalu (Rita), Lemau Misailegalu, Tavake Misailegalu, Leniu Misailegalu, Arani Fagaima, two sisters; Florida Reid, Roseta Siaosi (Liva), sister-in-law, Vanilla Misailegalu, 21 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Maliga Misailegalu.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with the funeral service to follow at 11:00am, Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1416 SW 19th St., Blue Springs, MO 64015.
