Kenneth Lee Huffer, 41, a Northland resident in Kansas City, MO passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the NorthCare Hospice House following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born October 3, 1970 in Harvey, IL to Douglas and Sharon (Brinkman) Huffer. His father preceded him in death.
Ken was currently employed as a driver for Roberts Dairy in Kansas City. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Ken always knew what was going on in the world and kept up on current events. He was often found debating politics with friends.
He married Donna Lynn Hess on September 18, 1998 in Palos Hills, IL. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include a son, Mason Alexander Huffer of the home; two sisters, Karen Lynne Whitsel of Thomaston, GA and Kimberly Louise Buczek of La Porte, IN; one half-brother and three half-sisters.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Ken’s life will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the Meyers Northland Chapel in Parkville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NorthCare Hospice House or American Cancer Society and may be left in care of the Meyers Northland Chapel, 401 Main St. Parkville, MO 64152.
