Kathryn Elaine Ahrens “Elaine”, 75 of Marshall, MO peacefully passed away October 22, 2023 surrounded by family and her beloved dog Sassy. Elaine was born on March 25, 1948 to Marvin and Veda Davis of Marshall, MO.
She grew up in Marshall where she met her husband of 59 years Conny Ahrens. Conny and Elaine were married on June 20, 1964 in Blue Lick Union Church. Elaine spent most of her time taking care of others while working as a “waitress” for 27 years for Evelyn Lynch at the Coffee Shop in Marshall, MO. Elaine never forgot a face. If you didn’t find her at the coffee shop, you could find her watching her children and grandchildren participate in sports.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Davis and mother, Veda Davis. Elaine is survived by her husband, Conny of Blue Springs, MO; son, Rickie of Blue Springs, MO; her two daughters, Stacey of Bettendorf, IA and her children: TJ, Kaylee and Jalen. Devon and wife Kimberly Ahrens of Dover, MO and their children, Jordius and Jayace Himbury; two brothers, Rob Davis and wife, Karin of Marshall, MO and Marvin L. Davis and wife, Carol of Florida.
Elaine was never at a loss for words and her sarcasm towards life. She spent a lot of her day drinking coffee and watching talk shows while laughing.
There will not be a graveside service, but a celebration of life will be planned at a later date for all family and friends to attend. Arrangements by Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs, MO.

Wishing you peace and comfort during this time.
No one could tell a story quite like Elaine, and she had so many to tell. Her laughter was never left out of those moments.
She is truly a big part of my childhood. Mother and Aunt Veda spent lots of the summer canning garden bounty. And then there were the long, long days ‘doing’ chickens. They called us their legs!
One of my best memories was dressing Leonard up like a baby (he wasn’t much older than a baby) and wheeling him around the front porch in my doll buggy. The poor buggy finally gave up – long before we did.
Then there was snuggling (and giggling) in the feather bed.
I could go on and on. May Elaine rest in peace. She fought a great battle with valor and left behind many who love her.
So sorry for your loss Connie and family. We will miss her Witt and sarcasm at family functions. Support each other during this tough time.
Stacey and family – I’m sorry for your loss and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
I just learned of Elaine’s passing last month. I have fond memories of working with Elaine at Coffee Shop for several years when I was in high school back in the mid 1970’s. She trained me and was a wonderful coworker. I am so sorry for your loss.
